| The Precious Metal Air Racing
Team have
added a new series of images from their most recent
racing appearance to their website at www.preciousmetalairracing.com on the
internet. The thirty
images feature the North American P-51D Mustang with the
H-model tail, "Precious Metal,"
Race 38; her pilot Ron Buccarelli, winner of the Bronze
Unlimited title at Reno; her Rolls Royce Griffon Mk. 57
motor, and crew members Dave Berry, Joe Benton, Chris
Patton and Tony Buccarelli, as seen in mid-September at
Reno-Stead Airport, Nevada.
More images from the past are
scheduled to be added in the future.
The Precious Metal Air Racing
Team have
also recently added Galleries by the Official Team
Photographer, Mike Gallagher, of Racer's Edge
Photography, and Precious Metal fan Matt
Williams, both of whom hail from the Greater Reno area.
Those galleries are currently online and Gallagher's will
be added to during October and November.
Noted Aerospace author,
historian and photojournalist, Scotty Germain, of Warbird Aero Press, also has galleries under construction
featuring the Grumman F-8F Bearcat and the exotic North
American P-51 Racer, Precious Metal,
during air to air missions over southern Florida, near
Placid Lakes.
Included within the images are a
formation flight (see image below)
featuring Bronze race winner Ron Buccarelli, in
Precious Metal, Race 38, in formation with
the Unlimited Gold National Champions, Skip
Holm and Dago Red,
Race 4, of the Dago Red Air Racing Team, over Northern Nevada. Another shot
features Precious Metal with
the replica Laird-Turner Meteor racer of the 1930s and
the Hawker Sea Fury racer, Furias, Race 15.
The images are available free of
charge, except in the event someone decides to utilize
the images to make prints and sell those to the public.
In that event, minimal fees -- $1.00 per each photo sold
and $5.00 per CD sold -- are to be added to the sale with
those proceeds sent to the Precious Metal Air Racing Team
in support of the Team's operations.
Use of the images at other
websites is also available free of charge with proper
photo credit.
All funds go directly to the Precious Metal Air Racing
Team at
their Florida address for their exclusive use. Otherwise,
the images are available for free for personal, business,
advertising and publishing use. Photo credits are to "The
Precious Metal Air Racing Team Collection." Only
photos featuring this brand are available for such use.
Visitors can save the images to
their computers, burn them onto CD, take them to the lab
with a special permission slip they can print out online
(contained in "Terms and Conditions For Use"),
and if they pick the right lab that uses the right inks
and papers (500 year inks that are archival, acid-free,
museum quality papers), they can have a high-quality, low
cost photo -- up to 20 x 30 poster size -- to hang on
their walls at home and work; one that will last them
their lifetime.
Smaller 900 x 600 photo images
are also available for those wanting 8 x 10 prints from
the lab or from their home computer photo printers. All
images are JPEGs in fine format
taken with a pro-quality Nikon D-1 digital camera.
Those wishing to obtain,
utilize, publish or re-sell the images must first read
the Terms and Conditions For Use. The Terms and
Conditions contain instructions as to saving the images,
a permission slip that allows Photo Labs to print the
Copyrighted images and a link to The Pit Stop, The
Precious Metal Air Racing Team's Online Store for the latest in Air Racing apparel and
gear.
