of the Red Knight Freelance photojournalist Tim O'Brien brings us this picture of Chris Rounds and The Red Knight, the Lockheed T-33 trainer made famous not only by the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF -- now, Canadian Armed Forces) aerobatic team The Red Knights, but also by Frank Sanders and Rick Brickert, who performed individually in two succeeding aircraft from the late 1970s to the early 1990s, with Brickert serving as the pace plane pilot for Unlimited Class Air Racing. Chris recently brought the aircraft out of retirement and back into service, flying Air Shows throughout the United States -- a fine tribute to all the men and women who have preceded him in this aircraft type since the 1950s. Chris Rounds and The Red Knight, seen over Pyramid Lake, Nevada, in this sunlit portrait taken by Tim O'Brien, of Nevada County Air Fest 2004.
