Too much corruption and collusion between Air Racing Classes and Event Organizer at Reno; "Invitational" Air Racing at a so-called National Championship event; Fixed Races; Air Race Nazis; Professionalism lacking among racers.
Air Racing events that are considered Entertainment and not "Sports" are not due Press coverage. May as well go home and watch "Reality TV."
We'll be looking towards European Formula One for future coverage.

| Due
to the influx of a tremendous number of stories and
galleries currently at or inbound to Silver State News
Service, we are expanding our Home Page into a section
that will now feature six pages of materials instead of
one. Links are featured to the pages on the entry and
index pages, along with the Main Directory and the pages
themselves. The new Home Page Section will also be known as "The Rosa May Pages" and/or "Rosa May Section." We plan additional historic information about Rosa May, whom we refer to as "The Angel of the Sierras," along with this section. Rosa May lived along and traveled the California ~ Nevada border towns in the late 1800s and early 1900s. She is a celebrated heroine of a disasterous winter at Bodie, California, and is buried there, outside the main cemetary, because the vanity and ego of the Society of that day did not permit women of the red light district to be buried in amongst the "respectable" town folk. This, despite the fact, "The Angel of the Sierras" tended to a number of miners who became seriously ill one winter, even going as far as to write final letters home for them, to loved ones back East. Finally stricken with the same contagion as the miners she tended, Rosa May died there in Bodie during that fierce Winter, and is buried in a lone grave within sight of the "respectables" who had died at Bodie before, and since. Rosa May's was the largest funeral ever held in Bodie, during that town's existence during the same period that Rosa May lived. |
