Nothing Stopping the Buccarellis! Above: After sandbagging following Friday's practice run in which Ron Buccarelli seemed astounded by the speeds during practice (claiming he was only going to fly at 250 kts because he wanted to save his engine <g>), Ron and Precious Metal are a blur as they zip past the leaders Skip Holm, in Dago Red, and Dan Martin, in Ridge Runner III, during the start of Saturday's Las Vegas Air Racing demonstration race at Nellis AFB's Aviation Nation 2003. Below: Not to be outdone, Tess Buccarelli -- Ron's daughter -- zips past the crowd line and into the waiting arms of her father after the race.
