Above The Law II

Houghton still thinks he's above the Laws that apply to All The People...

...the Mandatory Helmet Law is the simplest and most preventive-safety oriented Traffic law on the books, and he can't even obey a Law that thousands of childrens and teens can, not to mention, young and old adults alike.

What's his problem? Beyond his God Complex, that is?

The Wrong Way I

No helmet on one of the most dangerous off-road vehicles there is. Ozzy Osbourne, the Heavy Metal Singer, was nearly killed when he rolled one of these without a helmet on soft ground. Here, asphalt would make a mess of Mikey H, seen here, since he has no knee protection, inadequate foot protection, no elbow protection, no gloves to protect his hands, and most important of all, no helmet.


The Wrong Way II

These shots were taken in the 2003 time frame at Stead Airport, Nevada. Three years later, nothing has changed. Houghton still thinks himself above the Laws that apply to everyone living in or entering the State of Nevada, and displays his contempt for the Law by riding in violation of Nevada's Mandatory Helmet Law.


The Right Way I

Washoe County Sheriffs on two-wheeled, highway vehicles, much safer than the four wheel drive ATVs, and do note proper footgear, gloves and helmets. As the Sheriffs know the risk, and must respond at a moment's notice to crime scenes, the use of gloves should be optional for them as they may have to utilize weapons at a moments notice. The pants they wear afford greater knee protection than shorts. Note also the protective fairings and windscreens in this 2003 photo.


The Right Way II

Helmet, gloves, footgear and summer uniform (pants, not shorts). Leathers are available to Civilian Motorcyclists. Protective pads and gear are available to Civilian ATV riders. The Sheriff's duties prohibit restriction of movement and yet they dress well for their jobs...

...and they set a good example for children and teens on Motorcycle Safety.

These published photographs are proof of that. We've shown Houghton's bad example to discourage stupidity in Motorcylce riding; we've shown the good example of the Washoe County Sheriff's in employing as much safety gear as they can afford to wear while on hazardous duties and patrols.

MANDATORY MOTORCYCLE HELMET LAW IN NEVADA

STATUTE:

Title 43. Vehicles and Watercraft. Chapter 486. Bicycles, Motorcycles and Similar Vehicles. Operation and Equipment. Section 486.231. :

  • "1. The department shall adopt standards for protective headgear and protective glasses, goggles or face shields to be worn by the drivers and passengers of motorcycles and transparent windscreens for motorcycles.

    "2. Except as provided in this section, when any motorcycle, except a trimobile or moped, is being driven on a highway, the driver and passenger shall wear protective headgear securely fastened on the head and protective glasses, goggles or face shields meeting those standards. Drivers and passengers of trimobiles shall wear protective glasses, goggles or face shields which meet those standards.

    "3. When a motorcycle or a trimobile is equipped with a transparent windscreen meeting those standards, the driver and passenger are not required to wear glasses, goggles or face shields.

    "4. When a motorcycle is being driven in a parade authorized by a local authority, the driver and passenger are not required to wear the protective devices provided for in this section. . . ."

FINE:

In Nevada a helmet ticket will get you 2 points on your drivers license plus fines. The fines start with a State Assessment fee and then vary from court to court from there.

STANDARDS:

"Statute did not violate constitutional guarantees of equal protection of laws. NRS 486.231, which requires drivers and passengers of motorcycles to wear protective headgear when operating motorcycle on highway, did not violate provisions of U.S. 14th amendment or Nev. Art. 4, s 21 guaranteeing equal protection of laws, because statute was rationally related to legitimate state interest in reducing severity of injuries to motorcyclists, protecting public from increased medical costs as result of accidents involving motorcycles and promoting safety on public highways. State v. Eighth Judicial Dist. Court, 101 Nev. 658, 708 P.2d 1022 (1985)

"Statute did not violate right to privacy. NRS 486.231, which requires drivers and passengers of motorcycles to wear protective headgear when operating motorcycle on highway, did not violate defendant's right to privacy under U.S. 9th amendment or Nev. Art. 1, s 20, because right to be left alone did not include right to do as one pleases on public highway." State v. Eighth Judicial Dist. Court, 101 Nev. 658, 708 P.2d 1022 (1985)

Statement by the Publisher of ILIPS Group

"We do not give Good Press to Bad People.

We do not reward bad conduct.

We salute winners and losers, as long as both give a Sport an Honest Try.

We wipe our collective fanny here with The Cheaters. The Bums. The Con Artists and Scams. The Frauds. The Fakes. The Liars. The Pretenders. The Users. The Abusers. The Leeches. The Blood Suckers That Fly At Night. The Demons That Fly In The Day. The Manipulators. The Unworthy. The Trash. The Scum. The Stink. The Sewage. The Dredges that would invade a Good Society and tear it down in the process. This is what has happened to Air Racing in the past ten years, though roots of this misconduct go back farther into the Sport's history.

We do not support those who are not concerned about the Welfare of others, to include their fellow man, and in particular, their own, fellow competitors.

The Good Man, Woman or Child, we shine the Light of Truth upon.

The Bad, we shine the light on them, too, and expose the darkness of their souls, especially those of Houghton and Sagar, whose souls tend to suck in light like a Black Hole in Overdrive.

Those whom are Evil, hiding behind a "Facade of Goodness," we violently tear down the Wall they hide behind and villify them for what they are.

We agree to disagree.

We strive with our arguments to prevail on the side of good.

We enjoy the Devil's Advocate...usually, rare, but occasionally, medium well, with a nice Chianti and some Fava Beans for good measure.

Our opinion is our own.

We give it to you whether you like it or not.

You are free to ignore us.

We view competition that is honest and open to all, with a solid foundation of Rules, Ethics, Morals and Values, along with Chivalrous Counduct by all within a Sport, as a "Good Thing."

Anything that is not a "Good Thing," i.e., a Clean Sport, or involves Club-style Invational non-competitions that are closed to any segment of the Public-at-Large, we view as a "Bad Thing" and we blast it to hell!

We give you Air Racing ~ a Dead Motorsport. A Dead Sport. A Dead Competition. A Dead, Meaningless Non-Event.

We also give you its aborted fetus, the Rocket Racing League, which is also a Dead, Meaningless Non-Event, and one of the latest frauds of Event Organizers in the Overall History of Racing in general.

Air Racing as it was intended, was not just another One-on-One or Group competition. The Sport existed (past tense intended) for the betterment of the People. However, any time a Sport fails to exist for the betterment of the People, it is a dead Sport. Nothing will revive it.

When the people of a Sport fail to look out as a whole, as a collective, for the mutual support, encouragement, welfare, defense and justice, due their fellow competitors ~ and ignore the rights of The Fan ~ then what you have is a Dead Sport. Nothing will revive it.

When a Sport fails to express what it has to offer the People, Their Nation, The World, The Collective Future, Adults Young and Old alike, and the Youth of Our Nation, as exhibited by High School Teens to Pre-School students, then truly, it is a Dead Sport. Nothing will revive it, because having nothing to offer, and in those rare times, so little to offer, that none of our up-and coming-generations will know about it to know how to revive it, or even care to since, "Air Racing ~ What have you done for me lately!?" Remember: before a Candy Striper performs Open Heart Transplants, she must have years of Medical Training. She can't just walk into the operating room and commence. The Candy Stripes tend to give her away as it is...

When a Sport is more about the Glory of Money, Winning,, Vanity, Ego, versus Leadership, Technical Skills, Comraderie, Tribulations, Trying and Triumph Against All Odds ~ the tangible things in life that are NEEDED so as to be emulated by Young Adults, Teens and Youth ~ the Sport stinks, time to bury it!

After all, if Air Racers have ceased to care about Air Racers, and would leave their fellows, their comrades, their friends, their "family" to Houghton and his Foghorn Leghorn Rooster Boyz ~ and no, I'm not going to give that a tongue in cheek trademark (tm) in satire ~ believing that the Rooster Boyz, the Air Race Nazis, the Good Ol' Boyz, would be satisfied just to have an Air Racer's fellow competitors for lunch and leave them alone ~ these Tyrants with their Pretexes ~ then what of this very Public conduct by such an Air Race, a so-called "Sportsman," which he often laughs off, spins away the damage done the individual, the Group, The Sport ~ which never really goes away, and is acclimated into The Dark Days of the Sport's History.

Then what should we expect of our Youth, our Teens and our Young Adults, in the way of emulation? Would the ways they copy kill a Sport?

Already has. Believe it. Air Racing as we have known it is Dead. Nothing will revive it.

A National Championship that is a National Championship in ititle ~ in name only ~ and not reflected in the quality and character of its competitors nor its organizers, is NO National Championship, nor does it possess the caliber or the people that should be presented under a REAL title, not an "Immitational!" ), a.k.a. Invitational immitating the real deal, such as, Rats trying to Immitate Falcons. Any such "Immitational" is a lie, it is a fraud, it is a offense to the People's Goodwill, it is a drain on the Good Intent and Friendly Purpose of Competitive Sports and Motorsporting Events, it is a betrayal of the Ulterior Motives of Money Mongererers and exposes them to the Light of Truth when they tamper with their own Rules of Competition for personal or financial gain, not the proclaimed advancement of the Sport; and most important of all...

A Faux National Championshiip in title only represents a Death in Vain of any man or woman who has made the ultimate sacrifice for the Sport, on or off the course, or invested their lives in pursing what they thought was a Noble Sport, and everyone responsible ~ and you know whom you are, so this does not apply to everyone in Air Racing, just those who have a hand in killing it ~ by submitting to fakes who would tell you that their valueless, hollow, invitational, "Immitational," "Private Flying Club" (Editor's note: ~ M.A. Edwards source ~ we concur...) of a Non-event.

Air Racing has died in vain with those pioneers and the sacrificers that followed those Valiant pioneers to Valhalla and places of greatness beyond. Places that few in their lives will see...

However, the Sport shall likely not Rest In Peace. And that might turn out to be a good thing. Every Phoenix sleeps before it stirs the ashes. Until then, Air Racing on the Closed Course and Cross Country, where many Closed-course Air Racers have plied their trades, are dead to the ILIPS Group of Publications. So too, are its murderers.

They know whom they are, and if they don't, we shall see that they do.

What, in my opinion, ultimately caused the Death of Air Racing?

The Day that Air Racing's Greatest Champion, Lyle Shelton, was forced to get down onto his knees and submit to the likes of Mike Houghton, by the likes of a Wayne Sagar or a Sharon Coates, and not even Houghton himself, who couldn't be bothered, but none the less insisted.

"Hand over the crown, pal!"

When no one did anything about that, Air Racing died its 1,000th and final, Cowardly death! Neither Knight nor friend nor flyer spoke against his submitting, nor against he who made the Champion ~ The Pylon King that is always representative of all in Air Racing~ submit!

The Champion represents all Air Racing as King. Lyle Shelton has flat out done the most for Air Racing in its hisotry, whether you view that history as the Golden Age or the Modern Day. But through Sagar and Coates, Houghton has had Shelton on his knees in submission.

When Lyle's knees hit the ground, The Pylon King was dead. He ceased to be. And I sent him a message and told hims so. Sir, it has been an honor, but I know you no more...

And now, a two-bit, Midget Muthaf~ka, who probably got picked on as a child, stands in his place, butt naked but for his illgot possession...another man's crown. That's the only way Mike Houghton could ever wear one ~ he couldn't win it fairly, he sure hasn't earned it, so he steals it off the head of the rightful Champion, no one says anything ~ they're too afraid to ~ and the dirty deed is d-d-d-d-d-d-done!

That's not the Lyle Shelton I know there, perched painfully in defeat on his knees. Too good a man. A Living Death without Dignity. No. I killed him off in my mind before his knees hit the floor. Lyle now ceases to be. The King is dead and there will never be another one like him, because only one Lyle Shlton has ever really lived

The Assassins and their Greedy benefactor will not go unpunnished, but know this ~ somewhere in Reno, Nevada, tonight, a two-bit Napoleon thinks he can wear Lyle's crown without ever having raced, without owning an airplane, without having qualified, and without having faced competition on a Closed-course.

Mike Houghton thinks he's The Pylon King. The Emperor has stolen the Crown from the head of the Champion, and annointed himself King.

Bad news, Mickey Da Rat. I own the trademark to The Pylon King (tm)! You don't annoint The Pylon King with your puny little tarnished trophies and sharply pointed, thorn crowns.

I do.

For I am the Press, the Public Watchdog, the Story Teller, the Historian, the Chronicler of Our Times.

And I don't run around spinning Big Lies for myself or others. Just the Truth.

And the Truth is...you're on your way out. There's a Federal Prison waiting for you, a nasty place in Colorado, not far from where I will be living in quiet comfort of the solid rock walls that are the Sangre de Christo Mountains, where I can orchestrate your quality time behind the concrete walls that you and your friends so love ~ so much so that you'd kill the grandest event of our times to have them, by covering over the racecourse at Stead with concrete slabs and walls, and those precariously balanced wooden roofs tarred and papered for the weather, only, these monstrosities will have steel bars over the windows.

And every night just after dusk, beneath the Twilight and the Stars, I will look at the rosy red face of those most beautiful, snow-capped peaks, and wait with a smile for the Echos of your screams coming off of them.

I'll know if you have a new boyfriend there behind bars without ever inquiring...

...baased on his size, all I'll have to do is wait for your pitch to change!

There will be no Club Fed for you, "Convict!" Only ample amounts of time spent in a small, dark, confined, contained space, thinking about how broke you now are, and what it was you ultimate did wrong as the result of your Vanity, Your Ego, Your Insatiable Lust for Power, all supported by a foundation of your own greed!

Hey! When they come for you, boy ~ are you going to be under your desk there in the RARA Hangar, crying in the midst of a nervous breakdown, like Jim Bakker The Evangelist did so many years ago?

I sure hope so!

The source of your nightmares ~ i.e., your crimes catching up with you ~ are the source of my good dreams! And I'm sleeping good, and dreaming good, about a day the authorities come for you and they have to carry you out in the shirt that bears no sleeves, to the "Poorhouse" that exists not for the impoverished, not for the insane, but for the morally bankrupt!

You know ~ a Penal Instituion...where many a genius like you thinks with their penis from behind bars, instead of in front of them. And all they've got is women in a fantasy world to think of, but only little guys like you to act upon.

Like they say in the Bible: "As you sew, so shall you reap!"

But, Sweet Dreams, anyhow, Mike Houghton! There are bigger losers than you in Life!

In fact, you'll probably meet them in the same Prison! I would count on it! Unless of course, you turn State's evidence against Raggio and your accessories, change Sweet Dreams in for a Sweet Deal by turning State's evidence, getting into Witness Protection, and walking into a new life from one day to the next, free of prosecution.

I only hope that State Senator Raggio, who took over Conforte's operations in Nevada, under the guise of being a Crusading District Attorney, who rapes 17-year-old children so as to "Get to Truth at All Costs!"

(Even to himself, nudge nudge, wink wink! ~ Ed.)

Imagine, taking the name of Honorable people, like Senator Howard Cannon off the International Airport at Reno, and then install your own name and statue in the Terminal you downsized Senator Cannon's Honorable name to.

Now, that's some balls. Unfortunately, you're not allowed to expose your balls in a Public Airport, Wild Bill! And you frankly shouldn't have exposed them "In Private" to a 17 year old girl.

This is a Brief Announcement regarding our dropping coverage of U.S. Air Racing and Closed-course Air Racing in particular, due to massive fraud in the Sport, specifically, at the Reno National Championship Air Races at Stead Airport, Nevada.

SSNS will cease to carry current news events involving Air Race reporting because the races are finally admitted to as being Invitational and Invitational Air Racing for "Entertainment" Purposes Only, involving fixed racing, are not News.

SSNS will regroup and will seek out Closed Course Air Racing overseas, in England and France minimum, beginning next year after our move to Colorado.

The Home Pylon.Com, .Net and .Org, will be revamped as an Air Race Heritage Site, covering the once, World's Fastest Motorsport as it was meant to be, and those that contributed positively to it.

Those who did not contribute on a postivie basis and especially those we regard as having murdered the Sport, will be excluded from the site as they have excluded others from the Sport.

The issues of Criminal Misconduct in Air Racing are not an Air Racing matter and therefore, will be discussed in our Law Sections.

We will complete the Air Racing Extravaganza Galleries ending with PRS 2006, at The Home Pylon Group. Overseas Air Racing will continue in our Sports Section. Americans racing overseas may receive coverage, if the Editor feels that such coverage is appropriate and the individual or individuals competing, have had no involvement in misconduct or Criminal activity in the U.S., or Overseas.

ILIPS Group will spearhead a new and separate Air Racing movement designed to bring quality of character back into its roster of participants, and honest, friendly competition, back into the Sport itself. Those whose conduct was the cause for the destruction and death of U.S. Closed Course Air Racing, need not apply. We intend to introduce new competitors to "International Air Meets," in the style, prestige and luxury, established by the First Air Race at Rheims, France, in August, 1909. We intend a proper purse respectful of the risks taken, along with the injuries and lives lost over the past 96 years.

That is the only way that we can see Air Racing revived, chivalry reintroduced into the event, guarantee Quality of Character among its participants and organizers, end fraud, and extend open competition without need for invitation to anyone who wishes to fly, in any Class they so choose, under the Rules of the Class, and as to those Classes, they will be expanded beyond what Air Racing has seen in recent years.

A new Dawn, in other words, for a New Motorsport.

The King is Dead. ILIPS Group intends to annoint a new one. However, if it's not possible, then God's Will.

ILIPS Group is assiting its current Staff and Freelance reporters in provideing current Air Racing News coverage at their sites independent (Editorially), from ILIPS Group publications. If needed, we will provide whatever server space they desire, however, we will pursue diverging courses in hoping to revive the beauty, elegance, aura and epic nature, of International Air Meet events, which will incorporate all forms of aerial competition into one venue.

We will present ideas first, for the purusal of potential event organizers and/or sponsors, plus the all important new breed of Chivalrous, Knights of the Air (tm), competitors.

ILIPS Group will not be financially invested in these new International Air Meets, and will divest itself of proposed events the moment an Event Organizer with proper conduct and credentials, indicates an interest in making dreams into loving reality.

Work will begin tomorrow in completing the PRS Gallery from 2006, which concluded before the Declaration of Death in regards to U.S. Closed Course and other forms of Air Racing, and those materials will be immediately moved thereafter, to The Home Pylon Group, which will be modifed to reflect Heritage Alone, and not current events, and will install at The Home Pylon.Org, an online Air Racing Museum, which should be of Special Interest to Museums around the World. We will show photographs of our Exhibits, and in conjunction with actual Museums containing physical exhibits, display our artifacts on site at a specific Museum, and give the World a Road Map to see our displays there.

Interactive, Online Museums, with visual images of the artifacts and descriptions, for those who cannot make the Journey from home to a Museum, whatever the reason. Cost, time, work, infirmity...all good reasons. And yet, the artifacts will exist n public, on loan, at Museums who agree to these proposed, Joint Displays.

Much work to do, plus I owe Dave Morss, Rick Svetkoff and a host of others some TLC on the projects I'm working on for them, therefore, good night, good morning, good day, as we have the Planet covered.
