Is Governor Guinn About to Make A Big Mistake?

Corruption Begets Corruption

Is Governor Guinn About To Make A Big Mistake? Sam Dehne Believes and Says So in a letter to Ryan Randazzo of the Reno-Gazette Journal, Shared with Other Members of the Press This Day!

Subject: Don't Appoint Griffin to Anything
To: Ryan  Randazzo (Reno Gazette reporter)

Ryan,
Here's another story you might want to check out and expose
(assuming you are allowed to expose perfidiousness and patronage).

Rumor has it that Nevada governor Guinn is contemplating appointing that person who used to masquerade around as a Reno mayor, Jeff Griffin, into a plush high-paying state job.
This is despite the fact that Griffin has fewer qualifications than the
other candidates. (not a college graduate, very little military, etc, etc)

Most Nevadans know that Nevada government is plagued with a culture of corruption. We can only hope we have a governor who will aggressively expose corrupt public officials... rather than appointing them to these
good 'ol boy jobs.

Jeff Griffin does not qualify as a good candidate for any job in Nevada.
His scandal-plagued conflict of interest infected tenure as Reno mayor is testament to the fact the Nevada voting system cannot be trusted.  He is and was a major part of the problem and not a part of the solution.

Here's hoping Governor Guinn will come to his senses and cancel any
plan to appoint Griffin... to anything.

Washoe County's 15 Seconds of Infamy!!!

Is There No Justice!? Is There No Honor!?

Reno Watchdog Sam Dehne Once Again Forcibly Removed from a Public Meeting...this time by the Washoe County Commission!

...BEFORE the Meeting!

Washoe County Sheriff's Deputies Involved in Latest Crack Down on Free Speech...but Sam Still Likes Them!

Reno Watchdog Sam Dehne Wrongfully Removed From Public Building
Washoe Commission Breaks the Law... Orders Sheriff Deputies to Break the Law

Sample Excerpt from Washoe County Sheriff’s Morning briefing, 9 Nov, 2005: “We apprehended 2 rapists, 1 suspected murderer, and 4 burglars... oh and we removed that pesky Sam Dehne from a Public Building.  And it only took 5 of us.”

On 8 Nov, 2005,  Sam Dehne was wrongfully removed from the Washoe county public chambers... BEFORE a meeting had started.  Dehne was standing below commissioner Bonnie Weber’s dais having a conversation with her concerning whether or not he was going to be accorded the standard 3 minutes for Public Comment.  Commissioner Bob Larken butted in and said “Sam, we have it taken care of.”  Dehne  then asked what they are going to do.  Instead Larken repeated, “Sam, we have it taken care of.”  At that point Dehne got irritated about Larken's intrusion into the conversation and called him a “fool.”

This entire incident took no more than 15  seconds.

Weber immediately ran out and called in 5 sheriff’s deputies and wrongfully told them to remove Dehne.  This was all before the meeting had started.  Weber had no more authority to order Dehne removed... than Dehne had to order Larken removed for interfering with his conversation with Weber.

Dehne left peaceably... albeit with a few choice words of disgust describing in plain and legal English what he thought about their embarrassing and tawdry behavior.  Dehne's leaving without any disturbance was much to the relief of the deputies.  Outside the chambers Dehne had a brief conversation about the perfidiousness of the sordid episode.  Dehne severely admonished them for having to follow dictatorial orders.  However, he also partially exonerated them.  And then Dehne left.

Dear Concerned Citizens, 11/02/05
Reno is the per capita pork capital of America

OINK! OINK! BRINGING HOME THE PURE PORK (Reno Mayor Goes To D. C.Begging for Reno's own "Bridge to Nowhere")

http://news.rgj.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20051102/NEWS10/511020337/1002

A citizen's "Corporate Welfare Dream Come True" would be for D. C. to send the mayor and his entourage back home and tell them to get the heck off of welfare.

A taxpayer-funded multi-million dollar "plaza" was not intended to be part of the railroad trench scheme. This is a scheme, itself, that was never intended in the first place (AT LEAST BY THE VOTE OF A BIG MAJORITY OF CITIZENS).

There's a lot more Pork in Reno:

** How about Reno's (badly UN-needed) 250 foot high airport tower that will be stuck on the land where 1,000s of Senior Citizens used to be able to afford to play golf??

** And how about the extra (badly UN-needed) Instrument Landing System being installed... while some large airports don't even have one good one??

*****
And of course the biggest pork project in the history of Reno (just barely surpassing the RR Trench Oinkers)... over $$$1/2 Billion for supposed flood protection for DRAUGHT STRICKEN Reno??

And on and on and on.

Alaska's "bridge to nowhere" looks mandatory in comparison.

Sam Dehne's Reno Citizen.Com Statement

Guy Felton has more Questions ~

This Time, for Krys Bart and the Board of Trustees at the Airport Authority of Washoe County (AAWC)

Have you at any time, in any way, directly or indirectly, for any reason, discussed Airport matters with Sen. Bill Raggio?
Have you at any time, in any way, directly or indirectly, discussed with any other person or persons one or more ways to obstruct justice in regard to Col. Dehne's lawsuit against the Airport?
Is the AAWC Board of Trustees or any of its members justly empowered to ignore, suspend, or otherwise violate any part of the Constitution of the United States?
Is it not a crime for any public official or officials to violate any provision or provisions of the Constitution?
When the AAWC Board or any of its members commits a Constitutional violation during one of its public meetings, does that meeting not then become an illegal meeting?
Can the AAWC Board make any decision that has force of law during an illegal meeting?
Should any person who obstructs justice be entrusted with public powers?
Can justice be served when government officials lie about public affairs?
Is deception by omission not a form of lying?

Thomas Beko Responds To SSNS

Position Unchanged ~ AAWC Attorney Won't Discuss the Case Until Closure

The phone call probably lasted all of five minutes. In it, the Attorney on the phone ~ the first of any involved in the matters of Water Works, Parker vs. RARA, Daniels vs RARA et al, to have the decency to return a phone call ~ was polite, firm, calm, expressed no cynicism nor contempt for the opposing side, and confidently revealed a side of an Attorney you don't often see...one that believes in what he is doing and that it is the right thing to do.

New Website!: Thomas Beko.Info

Looks like Guy will be facing off in Debate with an Empty Chair!

According to ThomasBeko.Info:

Update: Beko sent an email message on Wednesday, 29 December ~ stating that he would NOT meet with Felton on a TV talk show. He was then given the opportunity to explain his excuse for declining by sending same on his letterhead with his signature. Beko balked at doing this.

The offer to explain his excuse on his letterhead remains open.

AN OPEN LETTER TO MEMBERS OF THE
AIRPORT BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Democracy doesn't just happen. It requires the intelligent and dedicated
commitment of competent public servants. You Members of the Airport Board do
not qualify. I call upon each of you insults against democracy to resign from
the Board.

When public officials are not open and honest, they can make no credible claim
to being practitioners of democracy. You people are not open and honest. It is
wrong to hide the people's business from the people.

When public officials demonstrate pompous disregard toward being accountable to
the citizens whom they are supposed to serve, democracy is violated. You people
feel no shame when you defecate on democracy.

Senator Zell Miller from Georgia recently commented that he wished dueling were
still legal. I fully agree. We would have fewer, arrogant bureaucrats running
amok if this were the case.

When meetings of public bodies can be cablecast at little cost, it is
un-American for public officials to hide their actions from public scrutiny.
You people have decided to spit on the people of the Truckee Meadows by
discontinuing the televising of your meetings. This is totally unacceptable.

When public officials abuse the powers entrusted to them by the people,
outspoken government watchdogs are needed as never before.

When you people attempt to suppress and financially destroy Lt. Col. Sam Dehne
by attempting to extort outrageous attorney fees from him related to
non-frivolous litigation that was validated by the Ninth Circuit Court of
Appeals months ago, you reveal a frivolous and tyrannical attitude that must be
challenged.

I invite all employees of the Airport Authority of Washoe County to inform me of
any improprieties perpetrated by Airport managers or by Members of the AAWC
Board.

Whistleblowers are protected by law. I ask that reports of wrongdoing be sent to
me by email:
