The Chinooks were in the area fighting wildfires, including a major inferno that hit the mountains just above San Luis Obispo several weeks later. At the 1994 show, they were utilized to air drop U.S. Army Pathfinders (Airborne). |

| A British Airways McDonnell Douglas DC-10 Series 30, one of a handful operated by the airline that also operated the DC-10's main competitor, the Lockheed L-1011 TriStar. British Airways had two DC-10s prior to the merger with British Caledonian, and added the BCAL fleet following the merger. The DC-10-30 was operated to Los Angeles from points in Scotland and England. |
