Another stock Cassutt just beginning its modification phase (note the airscoop under the motor) is Race 82, "Plane Mantis," which has been racing in IF1 for the past several years. The IF1s are economical to race compared to the larger Warbirds and don't require the large race courses that are currently few and far between in the United States. An IF1 race can be set up just about anywhere and in fact, some have raced in farmer's fields.
