Remote control gliders on display at T&A Hobby Lobby. Aircraft such as these are excellent in high wind areas, such as the desert and the coast. A number of RC sailplane flyers operate in the Long Beach, California, area, at a stretch along the Belmont Shores area due to wind currents coming in from the shoreline that create updrafts along the face of the cliffs there.

Another view of the Fokker DVII, the World War I Biplane that followed the Dr.I Triplane made famous by Von Richtofen. The Baron Manfred Von Richtofen had been scheduled to receive one of these, as he reportedly did not believe in being sentimental in regards to an older aircraft, but was killed eighty-eight years ago this week, the day after his 80th kill.
