| Mujahideen Jim One of the many lies told by Jim "Captain Zoom" Campbell, currently identified as Owner and Publisher of Aero News.Net, was a humdinger he told his fiance after running out on her that he had gone off to fight the Soviets alongside the Mujahideen in Afghanistan. SSNS wonders how the Mujahideen could have done without him, considering the harsh conditions of Summer and Winter in the rocky hills and caves overlooking the battleground that has been Afghanistan for decades. One has to be in top physical condition, capable of long marches, carrying heavy loads of ammunition to supply weapons, perhaps an AK-47, RPG or one of those lovely, U.S. supplied Stinger missiles. Pure hardship. Then we look at Captain Zoom's time in service, per this FOIA document from no less than the National Archives and Records Administration. "11-24-75 to 6-22-76" Why, he almost lasted seven months in the cushiest job known to the United States Armed Forces! No wonder why we call them "Zoomies!" No decorations!? Guess you'll have to put your MOH back in a drawer for now... Anyhow, Jimbo the Rocket Clown, I would love to see your complete set of Discharge Papers (DD Form 214). How about sending us a copy ~ certified by the V.A. ~ so we can understand better how you can cut it with the Mujahadeen, which are also known as the Taliban and Al Queda, when it doesn't appear that you can cut it with Uncle Sam's Flying Club. As far as your "time" in Afghanistan, we'd also like to know which Camps you trained in, whom was the overall leaders, and whom were your instructors. Further, we'd like to know your technical skills in those Camps, whose disciples today believe it is their God Given Duty to kill Americans.
